Technology Infrastructure

Everything in the technology world begins with having the right Technology Infrastructure, commonly referred to as the “Physical Layer”, that supports the entire IT environment.

01Our offerings includeTechnology Infrastructure

Hardware

Servers, storage and data centers — specified, supplied and built for the load you actually run.

Software

Operating systems and applications, including the business systems and ERP platforms we develop and host for clients.

Cloud infrastructure

Cloud server provisioning, migration and annual hosting, including hosting your gateway in our Bugolobi server room.

IT service management (ITSM) tools

The ticketing, asset and change tooling that turns ad-hoc support into a service with response times.

CCTV and Access Control

Surveillance and door control designed around coverage and audit, not around a camera count.

Power and cooling systems

UPS sizing, generator changeover allowance and rack cooling, designed in rather than bolted on after a failure.

Data center infrastructure

Cabling, racks, containment and labelling to TIA-942B and T606C, handed over with rack manuals and drawings.

A well-designed and implemented Technology Infrastructure provides numerous benefits to organizations:

  • Reduced downtime - Reliable systems and minimal disruptions.
  • Scalability - Easy adaptation to growing demands.
  • Flexibility - Support for remote work and mobile devices.
  • Cost savings - Reduced hardware, software and maintenance costs.
  • Improved ROI - Enhanced utilization of IT resources.
  • Business agility - Rapid response to market changes.
  • Loyalty - Long-term relationships and trust.

CCTV installation and access control in Uganda

We design the coverage first and then specify the cameras, which is the opposite of how most quotes are built. Each position gets a task — identify, recognise or observe — because a camera that shows someone was present is not the same as one that can identify them. Access control is specified alongside it with zoning, audit trails and time-and-attendance reporting where it is useful.

Managed IT services and support

Annual SLAs with defined response times by severity, scheduled preventative maintenance, remote monitoring and a named escalation path to us and onward to the manufacturer. We have held an annual SLA with International Hospital Kampala for over five years and supported the Infectious Diseases Institute platform for over ten.

ERP and business software

Where an organisation's process is genuinely its own, we build to it: stock, sales, procurement, dispatch, billing and reporting. We have developed and hosted ERP for pharmacy retail, medical centres, coffee export and transport operators in Uganda, and we will advise against a custom build where a package would serve better.

05How an engagement runsFive stages
STAGE 01

Design

Site survey, requirements and a solution architecture you can hold a vendor to — before anything is bought.

STAGE 02

Supply

Sourcing through direct manufacturer partnerships, so what arrives is genuine, licensed and supportable.

STAGE 03

Install

Cabling, trunking and routing to TIA-942B and T606C standards, with rack manuals and a labelling scheme left behind.

STAGE 04

Train

Your people learn the system on the system — administrators and end users — before we step back.

STAGE 05

Commission

Sign-off against the design, then an SLA. Several of our support relationships are past the ten-year mark.

06Questions we get asked
What does your managed IT SLA cover?
A defined response time by severity, scheduled preventative maintenance, remote monitoring, and a named escalation path to us and onward to the manufacturer. Our longest-running support relationships are past ten years.
Why is our existing CCTV footage useless when something happens?
Usually the camera was chosen for coverage rather than for task. The difference between showing that someone was present and identifying them is pixels on target, lens choice and lighting. We set the task per camera position before specifying anything.
Can you host our systems rather than us buying servers?
Yes. We provide annual cloud server hosting — Bio-Search and Bio-Hygiene run their ERP that way — and we host SIP trunk gateways and call centres for Turaco, Wugantech and Alight Uganda in our own server room in Bugolobi.
Do you take over an estate someone else built?
Regularly. The first engagement is usually an audit: we document what exists, label it, and give you a prioritised risk list. You then decide what to fix and in what order.

Tell us what needs to work.

A boardroom that never quite works, a call centre to stand up, a network that drops every afternoon, a security posture nobody has reviewed in three years. Send the brief and we will come and look.
