Networks

Our service offering includes the design, implementation and management of robust, secure and scalable network infrastructure solutions. Our clients benefit from reliable and secure network connectivity, improved network performance and uptime, enhanced scalability and flexibility, and simplified network management.

01Our offerings includeNetworks

Network Audits

Documentation of what you actually have, a labelled rack, and a prioritised list of what is about to fail.

Network Design and Architecture

Addressing, segmentation, resilience and capacity planned before any equipment is purchased.

LAN | WAN Implementation and Management

Switching, routing and inter-branch connectivity, implemented and then run under agreement.

Wireless Networking (WLAN)

Predictive and on-site surveys, access point placement, controller setup and guest portals for campuses, wards and public areas.

Network Security including Firewall Configuration

Perimeter and internal segmentation with rules written down, reviewed and understood.

Network Monitoring and Optimization

Proactive monitoring and tuning, so problems surface before the helpdesk hears about them.

Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) Solutions

Multi-site connectivity with policy-based routing and link failover.

Network Virtualization

Logical separation and virtualised network services that reduce the hardware you have to buy and maintain.

02In more detail

Structured cabling to standard

A network where every port at the desk maps to a labelled port in the rack, recorded on a drawing. When we rebuilt the Parliament of Uganda data centre we standardised the trunking and routing to TIA-942B and T606C, produced rack manuals and put a labelling scheme in place. That is the deliverable, not just the cable.

03Selected workDelivered in Uganda and beyond
Parliament of UgandaGovernment · Kampala
Restructured and revamped the main data centre on a structured-cabling approach to TIA-942B and T606C - standardised trunking and routing, rack manuals and a full labelling scheme.
Parliament of UgandaGovernment · Kampala
High-capacity point-to-point fiber between Parliament House and Development House, plus three single-mode links and three redundant links for Parliament FM.
Parliament of UgandaGovernment · Kampala
High-capacity microwave point-to-point data links between Parliament House, Queens Chambers and Kingdom House, with service optimisation across the sites. Ongoing SLA for preventative maintenance of all fiber and microwave links.
Infectious Diseases InstituteMedical research
Managed service on the organisational telephony, billing platform and voice conferencing for over ten years - including voice network installation, support and a Polycom VTX1000 conferencing system.
Naguru HospitalHealthcare · Kampala
Cabling infrastructure for the hospital and additional access points to extend Wi-Fi coverage.
Kinyara SugarManufacturing · Masindi
Telephony and billing platform installation and SLA support, structured cabling design and implementation, plus support and optimisation of the DECT radio base stations across a 2.4 km² factory area.

05How an engagement runsFive stages
STAGE 01

Design

Site survey, requirements and a solution architecture you can hold a vendor to — before anything is bought.

STAGE 02

Supply

Sourcing through direct manufacturer partnerships, so what arrives is genuine, licensed and supportable.

STAGE 03

Install

Cabling, trunking and routing to TIA-942B and T606C standards, with rack manuals and a labelling scheme left behind.

STAGE 04

Train

Your people learn the system on the system — administrators and end users — before we step back.

STAGE 05

Commission

Sign-off against the design, then an SLA. Several of our support relationships are past the ten-year mark.

06Questions we get asked
What does structured cabling to standard actually get me?
A network where every port at the desk maps to a labelled port in the rack, recorded on a drawing. It sounds administrative until you are chasing a fault at 11pm.
Can you link two of our buildings without a trench?
Yes, with a licensed microwave link. We have installed high-capacity point-to-point links between Parliament House, Queens Chambers and Kingdom House.
Our Wi-Fi drops when the building is full. Why?
Nearly always access point density and channel planning rather than bandwidth. A survey tells us whether you need more APs, different placement, or a controller doing band steering. We did exactly this at Naguru Hospital.
Do you work with our existing ISP?
Yes. We are a solutions partner to Vodafone Uganda and the preferred SIP trunk installer for Airtel Uganda, and we routinely terminate and configure links from any local carrier.

Tell us what needs to work.

A boardroom that never quite works, a call centre to stand up, a network that drops every afternoon, a security posture nobody has reviewed in three years. Send the brief and we will come and look.
