Cyber Security

With advancements in technology, growth of remote working and online transactions, increase in mobility and mobile devices, this environment needs to be secured — hence the need and rise of Cyber Security. Cyber Security helps with enhancing a security posture, reducing risk of data breaches, improving compliance and ensuring proactive threat detection and response.

01Our offerings includeCyber Security

Risk assessment and vulnerability management

A scoped assessment of your estate with a prioritised, costed remediation plan — not a scanner printout.

Firewall sourcing, configuration and management

Sophos, Check Point and Barracuda firewalls supplied, configured and managed, with rules documented and reviewed rather than accumulated.

Intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS)

Deployed and tuned to your traffic, so alerts mean something and get acted on instead of ignored.

Endpoint Security

Protection deployed and managed across laptops, servers and mobile devices, with the console watched by our team where you want that.

Data Encryption and Backup

Encryption at rest and in transit, Veeam-based backup with offsite copies and documented restore testing.

Penetration testing and Incident Response

Scoped testing with a written report, a retest after remediation, and a plain-language executive summary.

Security information and Event management (SIEM)

Log aggregation and correlation across the estate, with the alert set tuned to what your team can realistically act on.

Managed Detection and Response

Ongoing monitoring with a defined escalation path, scoped so it is affordable for a mid-sized Ugandan organisation.

02In more detail

Data protection and compliance in Uganda

We work with organisations on the practical ICT side of Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act and NITA-U expectations — access control, encryption, logging, retention and incident response. Where a question is legal rather than technical, we say so.

05How an engagement runsFive stages
STAGE 01

Design

Site survey, requirements and a solution architecture you can hold a vendor to — before anything is bought.

STAGE 02

Supply

Sourcing through direct manufacturer partnerships, so what arrives is genuine, licensed and supportable.

STAGE 03

Install

Cabling, trunking and routing to TIA-942B and T606C standards, with rack manuals and a labelling scheme left behind.

STAGE 04

Train

Your people learn the system on the system — administrators and end users — before we step back.

STAGE 05

Commission

Sign-off against the design, then an SLA. Several of our support relationships are past the ten-year mark.

06Questions we get asked
Where should an organisation with no security budget start?
An assessment and your backups. Knowing what you have and being able to restore it covers more real-world risk than any single product purchase. We would rather sell you the correct firewall next year than the wrong one now.
Is managed detection realistic for a mid-sized organisation here?
Yes, scoped properly. Full 24/7 coverage is rarely the right first purchase. Log aggregation on your critical systems, a tuned alert set and a clear escalation path deliver most of the benefit at a fraction of the cost.
Do you handle Uganda's data protection requirements?
We handle the practical ICT side — access control, encryption, logging, retention and incident response. We are not a law firm, so where the question is legal rather than technical we will tell you.
Can you secure a network you did not build?
Yes, and that is the common case. We start by documenting it, because you cannot defend an estate nobody has mapped.

Tell us what needs to work.

A boardroom that never quite works, a call centre to stand up, a network that drops every afternoon, a security posture nobody has reviewed in three years. Send the brief and we will come and look.
